The 1763-L16DWD controller is an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation programmable controller from the MicroLogix 1100 series. It is a DC-powered programmable controller with an input voltage rating of 12 to 24 Volts DC. The 1763-L16DWD programmable controller comes with 10 digital inputs, 2 analog inputs, and 6 digital relay outputs. Four of the 10 digital inputs on this controller can be used as high-speed digital inputs. Additionally, the 6 digital relay outputs of the 1763-L16DWD programmable controller are all isolated from each other.

The Allen-Bradley 1763-L16DWD is a MicroLogix 1100 controller that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This controller features a total of Sixteen (16) integrated I/O density. Specifically, the integrated I/Os include Six (6) Standard Discrete inputs operating at 12/24VDC; Four (4) High-speed input channels, which consists of Channels 0-3; Two (2) 0-10VDC analog inputs and Sixteen (16) Relay outputs.

The analog input channels are compatible for use with 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-Wire transmitters. When terminating signals to this module, recommended cable is Belden #8761. This cable is ideal as it is provided with a drain wire and foil shield that may be connected to the grounding system.

For power and input wiring, recommended cable size includes 12 - 20 AWG for Solid wire, and 14 - 20 AWG for Stranded wire. These wire sizes ensure that convenient wiring and termination to terminal blocks without occupying adjacent space.

This controller supports horizontal mounting, using a DIN rail or direct panel mounting. It is designed for expansion using 1762 MicroLogix expansion modules where up to Four (4) expansion modules may be attached.

The 1763-L16DWD MicroLogix 1100 by Allen-Bradley is a programmable controller with Twelve (12) inputs and Six (6) outputs. It measures 3.5 x 4.09 x 4.33 inches and weighs 2.0 pounds. It is an electronic device with a 24 Volts input voltage supply and a 15 Amps inrush current. The 1763-L16DWD has a 35W power consumption and an Relay Type discrete outputs. The 1763-L16DWD has an integrated RS-232 / RS-485 combo port. It is also provided with an LCD and keypad to monitor to view and modify data within the controller. The 1763-L16DWD has a backup battery for the volatile memory (RAM). Its operational temperature range is between -20 and 65 degrees Celsius (-4 and 149 deg. Fahrenheit), and it has a 30G 3-directional pulse relay shock rate that vibrates at 1.5 G (maximum).

The Relay output channels exhibits a maximum Turn ON and Turn OFF time of 10 msec, mechanical life of 10,000,000 cycles with a load Current rating of 10 mA. The operating voltage category of the relay contacts are 125VDC, 120VAC-240VAC.

Integrated communications ports are RS232 / RS485 and Ethernet I/P ports. RS232 supports DF1, DH485, MODBUS and ASCII protocols. These communication ports may also be used to connect to Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Programming workstations and 3rd party devices.
