In StockThe Allen-Bradley 1769-OW16 is PLC5 relay output module. This module has Sixteen (16) Relay output channels designed for operating voltage ranges of 24-250VAC and 25 - 150V DC. This module is compatible for use with 1771 chassis such as 1771-A1B thru A4B or later 1771 I/O chassis.
The Allen-Bradley 1771-OW16 module is an electromechanical relay contact output module that features a total of 16 grouped outputs. This module also features an economical design for power applications, with each of its output independently isolated from the logic circuitry. The use of a resistor-capacitor (RC) network filter across the 1771-OW16 module’s contacts is required to suppress arcing on it. The RC network filter also minimizes the effects of electromagnetic noise (EMI) that can disrupt the operation of the neighboring electrical equipment, including the Allen-Bradley 1771 I/O chassis.
The 1771-OW16 AC/DC relay contact output module is part of the Allen-Bradley 1771 series. It is a module in the Allen-Bradley 1771 I/O system that requires a properly-installed system chassis for proper operation. The wiring connections are made with the field wiring arm known as the Allen-Bradley 1771-WN wiring arm. The wiring arm acts as a terminal strip for connecting the module terminals to the chassis. This part also allows for the removal and insertion of the relay contact output without disconnecting the wiring. The 1771-OW16 module is powered via the 1771 I/O chassis backplane and it requires a current load of 1300 mA. The maximum continuous current per module is rated at 1280 W for DC voltage and 1440 VA for AC voltage. The 1771-OW16 module has a switching frequency of 1/3 Hertz at the maximum load, and an operate/release time of 10 milliseconds maximum. The 16 LED status indicators of the module light up whenever the corresponding relays are energized
The 1771-OW16 is an Allen-Bradley relay output module that features compatibility with voltage ranges of 24-250VAC and 24-150VDC. This module has Eight (8) channels of Normally open contacts and Eight (8) channels of selectable Normally Open or Normally Closed contacts.
This module is manufactured by Allen-Bradley which is part of the 1771 product series. This module features compatibility with 1/2 slot and 1 slot addressing. This output module is powered by the backplane power provided by the system power supply.
Channels 0-7 are normally open contacts while channels 10-17 are combination of Normally Open and Normally Closed contacts. This module does not have an internal surge limiting circuitry. It is ideal to install an external surge limiting devices to protect each channel especially if dealing with inductive loads which are known to have high inrush currents.
This module offers isolation by way of having Two (2) groups of Eight (8) outputs each. Each output is provided with an individual common terminal which established the individual isolation therefore, a single channel failure will not affect the operation of the other channels.
This module is compatible for installation to 1771-A1B thru A4B or later 1771 I/O chassis. Though it has a chassis requirement, this module may be installed to any slot available however, ensure that the system power supply is adequately sized. Compatible Field wiring arm for this module is 1771-WN. Module keying is between 2 and 4 and between 32 and 34.
