This Allen-Bradley PF 755 drive is a 15 horsepower rated unit. This AC drive comes with no jumper but one can be added. This VAC drive includes embedded Ethernet I/P as part of the VFD. It is powered on by 480 AC (650 DC) and has a plastic cover instead of the HIM module however an interface module can be added. In addition, it is a 22 Amp rated VFD.

The Allen-Bradley 20G11ND022AA0NNNNN is part of the PowerFlex 755 series of AC drives. This adjustable speed drive has a range of industrial uses and has AC input with DC terminals. The drive operates on a current input of 480 Volts AC with 22 Amps of output current. It produces 15HP for normal duty and 10HP for heavy-duty functions. With three-phase power, this device can perform well in an industrial environment. The drive is ideal for general-purpose applications that need torque or speed control. For communication purposes, this device supports Ethernet/IP industrial network module. The20G11ND022AA0NNNNN drive has an EMC filter, without a CM Jumper installed. Included in this drive is a dynamic brake transistor. This drive comes with a Torq Prove feature that enables the control of loads in lifting applications. This advanced feature makes sure that the mechanical brake takes full control of the load when the drive stops. This drive can only be operated at a room temperature of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius and at -40 to 70 degrees Celsius in storage. The stop modes available for this drive include ramp-to-hold, DC Brake, ramp and fast current limit stop. The drive has a Frame size 3, therefore clearance guidelines should be followed. The UL Open Type enclosure is provided for mounting. This drive has a sealed cooling channel and uses external air or main cooling to reduce contamination exposure for electronics. This adjustable frequency drive comes with 5 optional slots for additional power supply, communication and Input and Output modules which can be connected as needed.

With speed control and regulation, modulating control is achieved which is more efficient and capable of implementing complex control strategies compared to traditional Start-Stop control of motors. Aside from implementing speed control, Adjustable Frequency AC drive or Variable Frequency Drive (VFD); Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and Frequency Inverters, as other term this hardware, is used also for lowering energy consumption.

It is known that motors produce high-starting currents during start-up. Aside from this, the effect of sudden starting and stoppage significantly lowers the operational life of the connected motor. With a VFD, starting speed, ramping, acceleration and deceleration as well as stopping patterns may be configured. This manages the inrush current and the stress that the motor experiences when changing mode of operation. Additionally, instead of completely stopping the motor, the VFD is capable of assigning a minimum speed, allowing the process to be maintained at the target setpoint without the need of fully stopping and re-starting the motor.

The 20G11ND022AA0NNNNN operates when supplied by a 480VAC, 3-Phase nominal input voltage. It delivers an output power of 15.0 HP for normal duty and 10.0 HP for heavy-duty operation along a continuous output current of 22.0 A. The drive’s enclosure rating is IP20/IP00, NEMA/UL Type Open and requires direct panel or wall mounting. It comes with integrated filtering and an embedded Ethernet I/P interface. This drive is capable of V/Hz control, vector control with FORCE® technology, sensorless vector control, and permanent magnet motor control.
